WHO are the Ditty Bops? The Ditty Bops, also known as Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald, have been writing and performing music together since 2003. They released two albums on Warner Bros Records and four independent records including the Grammy-Nominated "Summer Rains". Currently, they are campaign managing for Jelly - their stuffed koala friend - who is rumming for president in 2012 and will soon release their new album "Jelly for President - Yes We Jam". In addition to their musical endeavors they recently published 3 short stories and held two public exhibitions of their paintings.The Ditty Bops have recorded with a variety of artists from Bob Dylan to Natalie Merchant. They were named one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Ten Green Bands for completing a 5,000 mile bicycling music tour across the USA. They have been featured on Late Night with Conan O’Brian, The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusson, The L Word, Extra, NPR’s All Things Considered, and A Prairie Home Companion. Their music has appeared on Gray’s Anatomy, Men in Trees, Ellen and in numerous films and commercials. |
